ADULT CAT FEEDING INSTRUCTIONS
These quantities are average and the needs of your cat can vary. To maintain an optimal body condition, feeding should be changed as appropriate.
KITTEN FEEDING INSTRUCTIONSAt 3 - 4 weeks of age, kittens usually nibble solid foods. Keep the moistened Fancy Feast available at all times for these kittens. Kittens will usually eat dry or moistened food at will after weaning, at 6 - 8 weeks of age. If water is added, use three parts of Fancy Feast with no more than one part of warm (not hot liquid, adjusting periodically to ensure freshness.
FEEDING FOR REPRODUCTIONThe extra nutrition needed by reproducing females in gestation and lactation stages is given by Fancy Feast. During gestation, food intake can differ, so feed the amount required to maintain the good body condition of the pregnant female. During lactation, feed intake can double or even quadruple.
FEEDING TIPTo encourage your animal to become used to a new food, changes in your pet's diet should be made gradually. Replace small quantities of new foods with old foods, steadily increasing the amount of new foods, thus reducing the amount of old foods over a period of 7 to 10 days.
WATERIn order to maintain the health and body functions of your cat, sufficient water intake is necessary. Provide fresh water every day in a clean tank.
See your veterinarian periodically to ensure the welfare of your animals.
