Bathe your chinchilla 2-4 times a week to remove excess oil and dirt from his fur to keep it soft and safe. Using a suitable dust bath house or a stable container that cannot be tipped over for bathing. To prevent soiling and over-exposure to dust, remove the dust bath house from the cage after 3-5 minutes. If dust is soiled, remove and replace. Use 1 inch of dust in the bath house or container for best results.  Oxbow recommends that you consult your veterinarian before using any chinchilla dust bath product if your pet is not acting normally or is sick.
